August has crept up on us again. This month typically sees a merry band of Young Professionals from across the international media industry make the annual trip to Oxford University to run and attend PAC, the renowned and long-established residential industry training course, often affectionately nicknamed “The University of Advertising.”
The aim of PAC is to stimulate debate, discussion and communication whilst developing a greater understanding of the advertising process - from the client, agency and media owner perspective.
This year the school of life has thrown us all a lesson by way of the coronavirus pandemic which means we sadly cannot hold PAC in its usual form.
Undeterred, the IAA UK and Young Professionals Committee will host a bespoke and interactive training course that delivers all of the very best elements of PAC online for 2020 – expect thought-provoking talks and discussion on current topics, a creative challenge, a mini mock brief, career guidance, mentoring and networking.
As always, we will be gathering some of the brightest and best from across the industry with involvement from big brands such as CNN, LinkedIn and DoubleVerify.
The IAA continuously recognises and champions professional development. At a time like this, investing in young talent has never been more important.
PAC’20 is designed to support, guide and inspire the next generation of industry leaders, irrespective of experience, background or current circumstance.
There will be a series of afternoon sessions:
Wednesday 23rd September, 2.30-5pm
Thursday 24th September, 2.30 - 5pm
Tuesday 29th September, 2.30-5pm
Wednesday 30th September, 2.30 - 5pm
Come ready to learn and mingle with your industry peers. We can’t wait to see you there!
