    • The cumulative grade point average for this work must be at least 2.5.
    • If you believe you will come close to, but fall short of, the 24 credit minimum requirement, please talk to a Stamps admissions counselor at [email protected].
  • Multiple Dependent Degree Program (MDDP)

    Application window: April 15 - May 15

The Multiple Dependent Degree Program (MDDP) allows students to earn two separate undergraduate degrees from two different U-M Ann Arbor schools or colleges at the same time.

These instructions are for applicants who are already U-M Ann Arbor students, but wish to pursue a dual degree with Stamps.

    1. Discuss your plans with both program/major advisors, carefully review the requirements and policies of both units, and plan a dual degree program which meets the criteria for both. You must be eligible to declare a major in your current unit before applying for a dual degree.
    2. Download and complete the Undergraduate Dual Degree Approval Form (PDF), including all required signatures of approval from your current school (see a list of authorized signers/unit here). Students currently enrolled in LSA must obtain signatures from both their LSA General Advisor and LSA Major Advisor.
    3. Download a copy of your current U-M transcript from Wolverine Access.
    4. During the application window (April 15 - May 15), visit Slideroom to submit the form and transcript from steps 2 and 3, along with a portfolio of 10-12 pieces of your creative work.
    5. You’ll receive a decision by June 15, and if accepted, will be eligible to register for Stamps courses.

    MDDP (dual-degree) requirements:

    • You must complete a minimum of 30 credits on the Ann Arbor campus before you may apply for the dual degree program, and the cumulative grade point average for this work must be at least 3.0. If you believe you will come close to, but fall short of, the 30 credit minimum requirement, please talk to a Stamps admissions counselor at [email protected].
    • You must select one school to be your “home unit” on the dual degree approval form. This choice is important, as you will be governed by the academic rules, policies, and deadlines of your home unit, register for classes under your home unit, and pay the home unit’s tuition rate. Consult with your advisors as you make this decision.
