The Teacher Development Trust is the national charity for effective CPD, working with hundreds of schools across the country to improve teaching through high-quality design, leadership and evaluation of professional development.
One of the ways in which TDT works with leaders in schools is through establishing regional hubs, which are open to representatives from both primary and secondary schools. These local networks:
- create safe environments for head teachers, senior leaders and CPD leaders to share and collaborate
- facilitate and promote engagement with research around teacher professional learning, as well as contextualise this for local needs
- build new relationships and reinforce existing networks
- develop local capacity and expertise about high-quality CPD through access to TDT's cutting-edge tools and resources for improving teaching and learning
The format of the hub meeting will include:
■ An introduction to TDT and the Regional Hubs programme
■ A review of the evidence around what constitutes effective CPD
■ Refreshments and networking
■ Sharing successes and barriers: We will introduce some practical strategies which we have found have/ haven't worked in our schools before inviting all colleagues to contribute their experiences.
■ Exploring themes for future sessions
All are welcome! If you would like to bring a colleague, please forward on the event link.
