Brookland Golf Park positions are non-benefited, seasonal and will assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the golf courses, facilities, and infrastructure.  Opportunities are available at a variety of skills and levels from unskilled to skilled laborers. Hours and pay vary depending on the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate weed whips
  • Operate push mowers
  • Operate riding lawn mowers
  • Change tee markers and pin placements
  • Clean restrooms
  • Mechanical and hand rake bunkers
  • Wash and park golf cars
  • Fill divots on tees and fairways
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor

Minimum and Desired Qualifications

Education
High school graduate or the equivalent

Experience
18 years of age or older

Licenses/Certifications
Valid driver's license

Equivalency
An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position MAY be considered.

Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in golf course maintenance
  • Previous experience operating turf maintenance equipment
  • Possess CPR, First Aid, AED certifications
  • Previous experience working with people from various cultural, socioeconomic, racial and ethnic backgrounds
  • Fluency in a second language other than English

Anticipated Work Schedule:

Positions are full-time or part-time, non-benefited positions that will work one (1) to 40 (forty) hours per week depending on the position. Work shifts are from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Anticipated Start Date:  Spring 2020

Anticipated Hiring Wage: $10.00 - $15.82 depending on qualifications

Regular, full-time City of Brooklyn Park employees (30 or more hours per week) are eligible for a benefits package including:
